Dear Jakob, dear all, Our climate legislation team her at the LSE’s Grantham Research Institute has done an extensive trawl of national emissions targets and has added the data to our Climate Change Laws of the World database. We are currently going through a major revamp of the database, so once the new website is up and running it will be easier to get access to all such national targets (and lots more), but for now you can access them country by country via the map on this website: http://www.lse.ac.uk/GranthamInstitute/countries. Just click on a country, then click on “go to full profile”, and then choose the third tab “climate targets”. The CCLW database contains, of course, lots of other valuable information, including links to each country’s NDC, litigation, and contextual information.
We have provided the targets data also for ClimateWatch’s own database, which you can find here: https://www.climatewatchdata.org/ Best wishes, Robert --- Dr Robert Falkner Research Director, Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment Associate Professor of International Relations London School of Economics, Houghton Street, London WC2A 2AE, UK Phone: (+44) (0)20 7955 6347 Fax: (+44) (0)20 7955 7446 Email: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Homepage: http://robertfalkner.org Twitter: https://twitter.com/robert_falkner From: "[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>" <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> on behalf of Jakob Skovgaard <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> Reply-To: Jakob Skovgaard <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> Date: Tuesday, 16 July 2019 at 10:06 To: "[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>" <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> Subject: [gep-ed] Overview of 2030 reduction targets Dear all, In the context of the new Danish government’s 70 per cent reduction target for 2030, I am looking for an overview of national reduction targets for 2030 (and ideally also for other years). Climate Action Tracker is great, but does not include national targets for EU member states. The targets may be adopted as legislation, or just be official government positions.
