Well, my two just about live in the tubes. For them, the more tubes the
better. They dig at them but don't chew them because I keep them overly
supplied with chew materials they like better. They don't like the "Lookout
Tower" (Habitrail Safari) but they do like the "Sky loft", no matter how
it's oriented. (It's now sideways coming off a side connector). I think the
problem with the Tower is that it doesn't have much floor space like the sky
loft.
But my two are so different from each other I gotta believe that each gerbil
has its own preferences and you'll need to watch yours to see what they
want.
