It's certainly feasible, but not really practical. The discussions
would likely overlap a lot, as would the userbase. A single listserv is
never going to exactly meet everyone's needs. It's best to either set
up a killfile (which would be possible if we went back to using the
letter codes) or just delete what you don't want.
Yeah, I don't really mind all the technical questions, I was just throwing out one of those random thoughts we all have. I thought I might make the suggestion while everyone else was throwing their two cents into the "what *I* think is wrong with this list" pile. :)
And as far as the codes go, I wouldn't mind using them, my program sorts by subject like any separate mail program should, which would make sorting easier. Though I tend to be one of those chronological readers anyway. But since it seems like the majority is in favour of ditching them, I'll keep trudging thru the messages the way I have been.
