I just joined the list a month or two ago, and I can say that Bill Cole will
be, from my perspective, a real loss. He always offers help and advice, is
very kind, and very well-informed.

If the cost of not being too rigid is losing people like Cole, then I'd
suggest you (we) be choosier.

And to whomever wrote him the hostile email, please think about apologizing.
Frankly, if I were a parent, I don't know that I'd let my kid stay on a list
that dose not filter things like the last problematic email.

Bill,

I am posting this to the GML in hopes that people will back me up. Please
do not feel you are unwelcome here just because of a handful of clueless
people. You are very well liked here. You have brought a wonderful sense
of humor and a levelheadedness that has contributed greatly. If you think
you are unwanted, look back at the posts from last week at how many people
nominated/seconded you as a moderator. That alone should tell you how well
liked and respected you are. Please reconsider your decision.

Meg

Maybe if I chew on these wires long enough I will chew my way out!
