When I first got my four male gerbils from their classroom home last March,
I needed some bedding. I was in the grocery store, and of course they had
cedar bedding. Of course, I bought it, because it smelled good. The gerbs
lived in the cedar for less than four days, though, because I had the stroke
of genius to look gerbils up on the Internet to see if I could find out more
about them. After I read David Hinsley's, Elizabeth Heckert's, and Tana's
web sites, I went right out and bought some aspen bedding. Happy ending so
far; all four are thriving.
