When I was a kid with gerbils, I held on to one's tail as he tried to climb
up a tube.  WHEN THEY SAY THE SKIN WILL COME OFF--THEY MEAN IT!  It was
horrible, the fluffy tip came off leaving the bones exposed.  *Do not ever,
ever do this!* I'm glad that the info I picked up recently from PetSmart
talked about it.  Maybe in twenty+ years we have learned something...
