Could someone please post the procedure for a gerbil who has 1/5 of the tail
skin gone. I am absolutely incensed at one of my violin students who was
instructed not to touch the cage, and while I was out of the room for three
minutes managed to open the cage and yank the tail. And she still hasn't
admitted it. This happened about 4 hours ago, and we have a vet appointment tomorrow.
I remember reading somewhere that people sometimes don't take their gerbils
to the vet for this. This is important because this vet messed up with
one of our other gerbils, but she is the only one in town. I don't want to
risk anesthesia when it isn't necessary, and so if you get this message and \
know something about this, please reply ASAP. The appointment is tomorrow morning,
and I want to go fully armed with knowledge if the vet tries to
recommend an inappropriate treatment. Thanks!
