Hi. In my opinion it would be best to not keep any gerbils on pine bedding.
You can possibly use pine safely if it is kiln dried or, if not, it has been
allowed to "air out" for at least a week or more. My gerbils are not a
breeding pair (2 sisters) but I changed them from pine to aspen after
joining this list. They had sore noses all of the time and I could never get
it to heal for very long. Now that they are on aspen they have had no more
