Tana's post about food reminds me to pass this along:

PetSmart.com has a $10 off any $20 order deal -- I just received my 35
pounds of Nutriphase Hamster & Gerbil Formula today, for a grand total
of $15.88 including shipping. Not a bad deal at all. Would have cost
about $42 plus tax at my local PetSmart store. What I don't need
immediately will be frozen for later use... if I can find some other
place for all that pesky human food. :-)

Just go to http://www.petsmart.com , order what you want (doesn't have
to be gerbil food, just has to be at least $20 worth of products), and
enter PSC402 as your coupon code when you check out (that's a zero, not
a letter "O").

As a side note, unless you're feeding older gerbils, Nutriphase Hamster
& Gerbil Formula needs a little more fat... you might think about
ordering some Nutriphase Rat & Mouse Formula and mixing it in; or adding
a few more sunflower seeds.

See my nutrition page (updated with more new products recently) at
http://netxp.com/rick/gerbils/nutrition.shtml for details.
