Jason,
I'm not sure that you want to add another gerbil from out
side to the pair you have now. We tried that, but we thought we had two
females to add into our male's tank and we found that wasn't the case.
Our older male checked the younger female first and then attached the
younger male. I think he meant to kill the younger male. so I took the
older male out of the small cage and put him back in his tank before
either one got hurt. We also tried to put another female in to the cage
and had the same problem. So if you are just starting like us you might
want to wait until you have some more experience time and knowledge
before adding any more to your tank. Besides your pair may have some pups
of their own soon. It might take awhile for your gerbils to have their
pups, so be patient with them 'cause sooner or later they'll come, take
it from us!!!!
