Dog & Gerbils

Hello everyone :)   My gerbil tank is next to my dog's bed (in the den with the computer) and since the aquarium is on a stand my dog didn't notice the gerbils until now :) She has just been staring...and watching them run around...(she is a tall dog, which is why she can see them)...I was wondering how my dog *might* react if I let the gerbil run on the floor by her. I'm not going to do this without some opinions first though. Whenever she sees a squirrel in the back yard she viciously barks at it and tries to chase it...however I have never seen her actually CATCH a squirrel so I dont know what she would do...I was thinking that maybe she thinks the gerbils are squirrels...   Just wanted a few opinions :)   Thanks again, Jason   You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one...
