I wouldn't, if your dog did decided to kill it, you'd be suprised how fast
it'll happen. I saw my mom's quiet timid dog get a hold of a rat that was
hiding under some wood. He saw it, grabed it and killed it with one shake of
it's head and dropped it. I was unreal how fast it happened. So for the
safety and happiness of your gerbils, I'd think it would be a good idea not
to. If you wanna watch your dog enjoy the gerbils..maybe try a gerbil ball
with your dog on a leash. My mom's dog sits as still as a rock on the
kitchen floor and drools cuz he's so excited it's time to watch the gerbils.
So if you do it right you can give your dog a thrill and scare or hurt your
gerbils at the same time. Just my thoughts :)
