Hi Janet -- It's very possible that she would not be "showing" at 17 days.
My litters have been birthed 25 days after the mating. About a week before the
birth (18 days) is when my females started to feel just a little bit heavier in
my hands. And not until a just days before the birth would the belly be
noticably fatter visually -- the moms became pear shaped (or as someone on the
list described to me -- looked like a minature hippo).
