Oh I don't usually get into the middle of anything but this one I'm gonna. I
personally had two gerbils that I bought, sent to me from the South. I live
in Virginia on the East Coast. Prior to being shipped to me one of them was
shipped to the owner in the South from out west somewhere. When they were
shipped to me there was not only a Sunday involved, no delivery on that day,
but a holiday on Monday, no delivery there either. So by the time I got them
which was on a Wednesday, they had been shipped in the middle of the week
before, I had two spastic, hungry, smelly gerbils. It took me months to
befriend them, as I'm supprised they didn't eat each other. I firmly suspect
one of them still has flashbacks of living in a small box being tossed around
somewhere as she isn't as friendly as her little baby is. The baby only made
one trip, Mama made two. This, according to my calculations, means that this
one poor Mama gerbil lived in a small box for approximately 10 days, not all
10 in a row, but still she probably recalls being put in these boxes and
shipped. I give her all my love and will see that she stops here and goes no
further in boxes. Look at the picture before you ship!!!!! Regards, Ginny
