      Thank all for the info. It turns out with the new
littler I might just wait to see if them is a male and put the younger
one with him or even the dad when they are ready. Is this a good idea. A
baby with an adult.

Meg - Yes, you can put a baby gerbil with an adult provided you are
careful. A split cage can be used for a short time or a daughter can be
left with mom when the others are removed. Babies can also be removed
with Dad at weaning time.
Adult females do better if the introduced companion is their size or
almost. Non breeding females may kill baby gerbils because of the
instinct to kill babies not their own. With Males its the opposite, they
are not likely to hurt babies.
