Attach the wheel to the lid, so its raised off the floor. Eventually
they will run in it. How big is it? perhaps its too small? Try this -
put a dab of peanut butter on several spots of the wheel. The wheel will
move as the gerbils try to get the peanut butter.
Gerbils come from an area of Mongolia, which is a cold desert. Thats why
they have hair on their feet and tail to keep them warm. Gerbils are
able to live in cold areas, provided they have plenty of food, a nestbox
and lots of bedding (Tissues,paper, and cardboard).
