Ok, here's another newbie question: I don't have gerbils yet but I've
been thinking of getting them. One of my main concerns is the heat in my
bedroom. See, my room is the only place I would be able to keep them,
but during the summer it gets pretty hot during the day. Nighttime and
morning are usually fine, it's just the day that gets really hot. Is
there a way I would be able to keep them cool? Do they have certain
temperature requirements? Does being desert animals make them more able
to handle high temperatures? I know having a fan blowing on my fish tank
keep the temp. from going too high for my tropical fish, would the same
work for a tank of gerbils?
