Hi. Let me preface this by saying I AM NOT AN EXPERT, not by a long-shot,
but I recently lost one of my older female gerbs and am preparing to do an
intro with the remaining one. I got lots of advice. I was told that females
are sometimes harder to introduce to a new mate. You shouldn`t try to intro
a small female pup to an adult female because she will most likely beat it
up and maybe even kill it. If yours are all adults and approx. the same
size, I would suggest you try pairing them up doing a split-cage. Make sure
it`s a good, strong divider that they can smell through but not chew
through. Leave it in for at least a week and don`t clean the cage. You could
switch the gerbs back and forth to each side so they`ll get used to each
other`s scent. I`m not sure it would be wise to try an intro with the same
ones that already failed. Try new pairings this time, if possible. Of
course, keep a close eye out for fighting. Sometimes, as you have found out,
some gerbs just cannot be paired successfully. Hope this helps a little. I`m
