I think you probably fell into one of those somebody-else-will-answer-this
oopsies! Females are hard to tell. Sometimes you can introduce them,
sometimes you can't. I wouldn't bother trying to introduce 2 gerbils that
have bloodied each other in the past, but beyond that it's worth a
try. Matching them up by age and/or size might help. I have 6 single
females myself, I have a few more combinations I can try (and will) but so
far I've had no luck at all. I think that may be due to individual
personalities, though. We'll see.
