That's actually a very nice idea. You could treat them like wild gerbils,
feeding them mealworms and such, and letting several males live with one
female (unless you want to have a lot of hurt or possibly dead females and
pups). If you got a 50 gallon or larger tank and set clean sticks and lots of
deep dirt up, it could be a very nice "wild" clan indeed.
