Somebody told me those drink carriers from fast food places (the
brown cardboard ones) are great for gerbils. Since I do not remember
who, is this ok?? My original gerb loves it, but I am more careful
now...check what you guys all have to say first...if so, I noticed
you can buy a bunch of them for under $6 at costco (like 50 or so).
Also, the vet told me shredded butcher paper would work well for
bedding. I was standing at Costco contemplating buying the butcher
paper, but knowing that it can't be cut, was wondering how I would
shred it. there was a guy there buying a bunch and he did not look
like a butcher so I asked him and he uses it for his chicks...he says
he puts a bunch of it in a plastic garbage can (one he bought just
for this) and then takes to it with a weed wacker. That way it tears
and does not get cut and there are no sharp edges to hurt the
chickens feet. it sounds logical...what does everyone think?
