It could be he doesn't want to or can't handle the stress of the
pups and is destroying them.  In this case I'd say leave him
out.  With the ones that are left (three) she should be able to
care for them.

When the pups reach weaning, split cage one of the males
with Jerry, and introduce them; and leave a female pup with
the mother.  (If you have one).  She will probably have another
litter yet, as Jerry was in with her when she had this litter.

If you don't have a female pup to leave with her or a male pup
to leave with Jerry this litter, you may get what you need from
the next litter.

After that, things should be better.
