        I usually handle my gerbils as much as I can(not saying you dont),
but sometimes they get restless, and want to get out!! Im sure he just wanted
to get out, and jumping up and down might have been one way of letting you
know, and getting your attention. Its like if you wanted to get out of your
house really bad, you would start bouncing off the walls!
