I think Donna and a lot of other members of the GML (some of whom posted a
message,but there are probably those who didn't) were just concerned for you.
They were concerned that you have a high rate of mortality and maiming in
your pups but still continue to breed from the same pairs.It was mentioned a
few months ago that you should consider retiring some of your mothers, but
you haven't done so.
Obviously you cannot watch your Gerbils 24,7 and I am sure no-one meant it to
sound like that but you do need to keep an eye out and nip these problems in
the bud so they don't get worse and worse (eg breeding the only survivor from
a weak litter, this gerbil may have the same problems as it's parents etc..)
