obsessive running

Hi.  I have a female gerbil whom i think is pregnant, mostly cuz her and her
cagemate were mating the other day.  both of them absolutely love the wheel
on their home.  i was wondering if her running so much could somehow affect
the possible unborn pups or if it's alright for her to be running
extensively.  

also, I have the S.A.M palace and country club kits hooked together, and with
them i have the no-mess hall.  they stuff the bedding inside the area where
they get their food out of.  I was just wondering why this was.

and also another thing, what are some tips for taming them to crawl onto your
hand when you want to get them out of their home?  thanks for listening to me
ramble and for any information you might be able to help me with :)
