Hi Everyone!
        I just had a quick question. I've been trying to tame my gerbils so
that they will get used to me and let me handle them. I've gotten to the point
that they will gladly climb into my hand for a sunflower seed. A few days ago,
I was able to lift Nape from the cage. She was very nervous! She deficated in
my hand, and was visably shaky. I tried to calm her, and after a few minutes
she bit into my hand. It didn't hurt, but I immediately put her back.
        Today, while Indy was in my hand (in the cage) looking around for a
seed, he also bit into my hand. Again, it didn't hurt, but startled me.
        Now here's my question: Why are they biting me? I'm not forcing myself
on them. Are they angry? Scared? Confused? And what should I do? Should I
stop trying to make contact with them? Any and all advice/suggestions/thoughts
 would be great appretiated!!

Thanks,
Jessica =)
