I don't know whether it's good for them or not, but during the first few weeks after I
got my two little ones, I was cleaning their cage one day on the kitchen counter.
They were scampering around happily and mustering up their courage to come up and
investigate what I was doing to their home. In one corner of my counter sat a garlic
(fresh). The little tan one, Poke-poke, is an extremely inquisitive guy, and at 7 - 8
weeks of age, his strategy was to put everything into his mouth. Of course he found
the garlic, and I kept calling his name and telling him no. Poke-poke stood there
with devious little eyes as though to say "What mommy? I'm not doing anything..."
Then suddenly he took a big bite. Hee hee, you should've seen the look on his face!
Suddenly his whole little body froze, I swear his nose wrinkled, and then off he
streaked into the far opposite corner of the counter behind the microwave. I peaked
and just about died laughing at this little rascal frantical!
ly washing his face, and the other one, Ding-dum, standing there looking at him with a
puzzled face.
