Cotton? Like compressed cotton waste, or cotton balls
(looks like polyfiberfill?)?
No, not cotton balls or polyfiber fill or the like. I knew this
is harmful for them a LONG time ago.
This stuff can MAIM AND KILL!!!!!!!!!
NEVER give your animals anything with long fibers such
as cotton balls, polyfill, 'fluffy bedding' or compressed
cotton waste; or anything woven fabric.
The fibers can wrap around limbs and amputate, around
necks and strangle, and if ingested, will cause intestinal
obstructions and kill slowly and painfully over a few days.
IT was left over scraps of corduroy until Trinity got ahold of it
and shredded it so fine there was not a thread left. Of course,
this was several weeks ago, but then I read another post (of
yours I think) talking about cotton and the like and the whole 20
minute dissolve test, have since (oh about 2 weeks ago or more, it's
hard to keep track of time) changed the bedding and only put in almost
finished toilet rolls and the like as a bedding treat. I use aspen as
my main bedding, and the gerbils seem to like this a lot.
No need to get jumpy!
I should have been more specific as to when this happened, or
maybe not have mentioned it at all, in hindsight. But there's no need
to assume I'm using it on a daily basis and that I don't read each and
every email on this list and take the advice to heart.
Thank you for your pouncing and your concern.

cotton-like fibers, thank you very much)
