I was watching Passions today and I was interrupted when my dog came flying
into the living room. She never acted like this before and so of coarse it
drew my attention. So I got up and discovered she was chasing one of my
gerbils! I flipped out and ran and found all my cats and put them in the
basement along with my dog. So I began searching for Blizzard. I layed some
sunflower seeds and when he came out I crept up and grabbed him. He was
really scared and squeezed out of my hand and I lost him again. So I layed
more seeds out this time by me and finally I caught him.
I then put him in my plastic cage for now. I was worried Aurora, the pregnant
one I think, would have gotten out too but she didnt. I then checked the cage
to see how Blizzard got out and I saw that he had chewed the cardboard lid.
Now whenever Aurora bumps into him Blizzard squeaks..He was also a little wet
and I'm afraid my dog might have bitten down on him a little or hurt him. I
hear that dogs and cats just play with them until they die and I was
wondering if Heidi had just started to do that. What should I do? He's eating
and everything...I'm just worried...and there are NO gerbil vets around here.
Please help me.
