Hi!

Lilac x Dove cannot produce a dark eyed gerbil such as black. I would
wait and see what the pups are. A week is a little early to be sure. As
has been said,  lilacs always have red eyes. A lilac coloured gerbil
with dark eyes, and dark points (ears, tail nose etc) is most likely a
Burmese with gg. IE, a grey Burmese, sometimes called a Colourpoint
slate (aac[chm]c[chm]gg).
