Actually, the newsprint I used was from a drawing pad labeled "Newsprint". There is no printing on it. It is used for pencil, pastel or charcoal sketching. I bought several of them on clearance for 50 cents and happend to think of using it until we can obtain some Carefresh or Yesterday's News (this weekend). It is also acid free and no chlorine was used in the processing. Definitely the only time they are on sand is for a brief bath while we are changing the tank out. Thanks for the tips though.
