Being a moderator would require reading all messages and making sure nobody flamed each other. If someone used an address to spam the list with garbage it would require dealing with that person in whatever manner is deemed fair. e.g for my lists I use 1st time - email warning; 2nd time - putting on moderated mode for 2 weeks (that means every email has to be approved by a moderator); 3rd time - booting from the list and banned. Unless there are extenuating circumstances. However, that would be something the moderators/list would decide as a whole. Moderating duties only become time consuming if a flame war breaks out. With that said, I'd like to make the following nominations for moderators: Jocelyn Kessinger Julian Michelle Janet Morrow (AGS chairperson) Does anyone else have nominations for people who have been long standing members of the list? We need to also decide on someone who is not running for the position to run the poll and count the numbers or do it via a vote poll script.
