Reading that link makes it look like probably the gtk build (or one of
the other libs like glib) uses a function which didn't appear until Xp.
 Other than that I really don't have a clue.  Aside from building gerbv
under cygwin on a vista machine, I don't do any windows development at
all so I'm fairly clueless in that area.
