               OS Version - Windows 2000 Pro
               JDK Version - java version "1.5.0-beta"
               Maven Version - Maven 1.0-rc1

Hi,

I don't know what might go wrong. What's interesting is 'Unable to obtain goal [default]'. Would you provide versions of JDK, OS, maven as well as the whole output of 'maven build' attached.

I hope you'll get it resolved very quickly and send us what caused it.
