If the Marantz problem is caused only because the avgBitrate field is not 
filled in
correctly, then maybe the FFmpeg people will fix it at the FFmpeg-users mailing 
list.

They fixed the 4-byte problem for my Shuffle when I asked them about it.;-)

If the Marantz also requires the moov atom to be at the front, then they will
probably advise to use qt-faststart.
