I own Matt Neuberg's book REALbasic: The Definitive Guide (2nd edition),
and I just discovered that the files for the book are available for
download from his Web site at this URL:
http://www.tidbits.com/matt/rbExamplesTocNew.html
My problem is that I'm running Windows and don't know (1) how to unpack
an HQX file (although my guess is that it's similar to a ZIP file or a
SIT file) or (2) whether what I get when I unpack the HQX files will be
anything I can make use of in my Windows version of RB 2006.
From what I understand, the unpacked files may be in a binary format
that only a Mac can handle rather than like the current RB or XML files
that Windows can follow. In fact, Matt himself says this: "Bear in
mind that you will need REALbasic 3.2 (beta or final) to open these
projects." (The earliest version I have of RB is 5.5.r.)
Is it true that REALbasic 3.2 can save RB programs as XML files? If so,
can those XML files be read by RB 5.5.4?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
