I wish would could see a poll of everyone of RB's users to verify your
(sadly, probably correct) assumptions.  I also wonder how many have
stopped--or soon will stop--using RB in favor of something else.
I did run a poll of users a while back.
Results should still be available for browsing at http:// www.surveymonkey.com/DisplaySummary.asp?SID=1800913&U=180091360944 It's not 100% as I don't have access to that list and even if I did I doubt every user would fill it in. What I wish I knew was whether this was a statistically valid sample size.

Unfortunately I know a number of people that have used RB for a long time that have said "if only I could find something else ..."
Some have and have departed for other tools
Some have not and remain customers but only grudgingly

Nothing is ever perfect. Withholding your upgrade fees is one way to indicate your feelings. There still seem to be a lot of people using 5.5.x as their day in day out release.
