I certainly don't see it that way since every release has significant features that I am interested in. But I do wish that the releases were a little more rapid, such as big release after 3 months and then a quick release 3 to 4 weeks later which do not add any significant features.

and I think this is the kicker - if the added features are what you want you'll be happy to pay the subscription. If these features don't matter to you but you need the bugs fixed, you're forced to pay the subscription anyway (but then this was discussed ad nauseam when it was introduced and I can't really see it being changed).

This is another assumption. I have not renewed my license. However, I might, and probably will, reconsider when RB2007 is released. However, if their policies remain as they are now, I will do so unhappily.
If you don't care about the new features, then that is fine.

I'm in the haven't re-subbed group and will remain there until the next feature I *want* arrives - which is UB builds.

I paid the subscription for RB2005 based heavily on the hype over Swordfish (I was working on a web based project at the time). 2005 gets released and there's no Swordfish and a very buggy, ordinary release. If RS had chosen to extend subscriptions based on this I would be far more sympathetic to their cause. Frankly, I felt screwed over and my opinion of them dropped dramatically. At this stage with RB I have no idea whether the features they advertise will ever materialise so my wallet will be staying firmly shut until I can actually see them in action.

cheers
