I know that.  This is not the reason (see below).  But I consider this to be
the last resort method. :)

No, I am not going to distribute anything as I do not write such programs. :)
It's not exactly a binary install, it's a distribution.  If I have to recompile
and install everything myself, the main point of a distribution is lost.  It's
for three years that I use Debian and I find it to be very convenient to just
download a package, and then install and enjoy it.  If the problem is with the
this very set of packages (*ggi*, *gii* (almost :) in debian), and it will
become clear that something should be slightly changed for make them working
for situations alike to mine, this would be a gain for Debian. :)
