Well, I did not think that the problem could be with that (I missed that mmap
to 10th fd) as on my system these usually work. :) I get messages in Russian
whenever it's possible.
Anyway, I will check what will happen in case LANG is unset (this is more
realistic than LANG="en_US" :).
