        There may be soon.  I am considering adding these functions to
LibXMI.  Since LibXMI is intended to replicate the drawing API of Xlib,
they should probably be present anyway.

        Not really.  You can do soft-cursors with transparency easily
enough, it just isn't very fast.  You can hook ggiFlush() to ensure that
the cursor is always drawn last.

        It is easy enought to support it is software too, so why not?
