Granted. Perhaps we need to subclass the DX target for DX3, DX6+
and Wine? Kind of like the X/Xlib/DGA target set is structured.

Sure. I just though that, if the DX target worked under
Linux/Wine, it would expand the developer base. DX is not a simple
target environment....
