I don't know how RedHat does it, but Debian will take the whole
ball of wax and put in a a single directory with a ruleset that
allows generating more than one package from the tree. I remember
Red-Hat littering .spec files all over the place at one point,
I do not know if it still does it this way. Some way to keep
that neat and out of the way would be nice, though.
This is too much to get into talking about now. Just add an
empty directory dists/debian and I'll take it from there.
