Exactly.

Yes. Recent versions supports Anti-Aliased fonts, advanced blitting
operations etc. In other words: A port of "Embedded Qt", which is
based on fbdev, requires libxmi, libbuf, libblt and libbse in order
to do it without making too much _duplicate_ effort :)
Therefore, I expect, that GGIQt will be much smaller and cleaner than
"Embedded Qt"... :) So then, we should be able to persuade
Troll-Tech to maintain GGIQt ... :)
