I have executed autogen.sh before I have packed the sources, so yes
you have a functional configure script.

I am just about sending them to you.

We can make the announcement as planned in 10 minutes. The binaries
may come a bit later. The most important is the source tarball IMO,
because tarballs are distribution-independent and the source is
platform independent.
