Thanks, it sounds right - and I'm going to try your method. However, there might be a more straightforward way(?) - let me try to explain the situation: I have scanned a photo, about 6" high, 13" wide, i.e. wider than the scanner bed - so I had to scan it 'sideways'. The result is OK, but must subsequently be rotated by 90 deg. In the rotation I seem to 'lose the edges' - is there some way to prevent that?
