Neil, your suggestion made sense and worked perfectly. I actually had 5 layers, when I pasted the pic onto the background it was too light so I copied again, added to the depth, so I ended up doing this 4 times and got just the right look. So, I needed to cut 4 times, then used smudge to blend. Thanks for the help guys.......
