Alignment of objects?

Hi, 
I try to use Gimp for the first time and I can't figure out, how I
can align objects exactly in my Image. I need to align to circles
exactly in the middle of my Image, how can I do that automatically.
I already looked it up in the manual, but this question seems to be
too newbie-like as that it's mentioned anywhere ;-(

Please give my some hints, or URL's
