@mattrpav I've addressed your comments about using a custom parser and users for prometheus. Latest commit now uses the 3rd the party prometheus library for parsing/serialization and contains a user group for the metrics endpoint. @Jerald I've also addressed your comments about making sure destination types are handled correctly.
