Review Comment:
   I could not find the gap, direct sql could also support both. For `hello*`, 
the direct sql would just try to match `hello*`, the result should be expected.
   
   Or do you think we should not support java pattern filter? I have a similar 
thought in [HIVE-28297](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HIVE-28297), but 
it's hard to do because some engines like spark are still using java pattern.
